The inevitably Marxist zoo III: Huey Long in the White House

One can, of course, make history, and one can write history; but is it fair to anyone or anything, particularly the truth, to control both the writing of history and the direction of history itself?
That is precisely what the Progressive movement in America is committed to doing.
The most legendary world leaders who were dedicated to doing the same thing were Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin and Mao Tse Tung.
The American Progressive movement, however, with its present and increasing control of all three estates of government – the legislative, judicial and executive – plus the fourth estate of a mainstream media, is determined to both write history and to control its unfolding.
The possibility for such a God-like omnipotence ultimately rests in the philosophy and experimental science of eugenics, that vision of mankind's or at least a few of mankind's or even perhaps a worldwide oversight committee's ability to control human evolution.
Hmmm … the Progressives, particularly the most charming among them, the Clintons and the Obamas, would deny such a goal; but they would just as frankly deny the role which eugenics is already playing in Progressive institutions such as Planned Parenthood.
As the Progressive power over almost everything increases so does the tempo of its progress. Witness the Draconian usurpation by the Obama administration of control over American banks, real estate giants and the auto industry.
A blitzkrieg of sorts.
Do you think that if James Carville is right and the increasingly Progressive Democratic Party will hold power for at least the next forty years, it will relinquish one ounce of the control over American society which it has gained, is gaining and will gain? Given the increasingly bipartisan nature of American Progressivism, not even a shift of parties in power will end the growing totalitarianism.
The Progressive movement is now a freight train at increasingly higher speeds and, well, you'd better jump on it now if you want to "get ahead". That is if you want to be a contributing participant in Progressive History that, of course, Progressives will be writing exclusively.
If you've read Jonah Goldberg's Liberal Fascism and have heard the growing demand by conservatives to call the Democratic Party "Socialist", American Progressivism, given its penchant for Progress, has no alternative but to increase itself into tyranny.
To a Progressive, "reason" dictates a Progressive's ultimate triumph over everything else.
However, Ortega y Gassett wisely cautioned us with the words: "The opposite of truth is not untruth but reason."
With reason in mind, however, the scientific detail of genetic engineering is precisely the model for engineering and constructing an impenetrably Progressive government and its grandest creation, a genetically "improved" human race.
Ironically, the same obsession with science and physical health, yet utter disregard for some forms of human life, existed in the Nazi Third Reich. The Hitlerian foundations have been utterly replicated in the Supreme Court's Roe v Wade decision that ruled the first two terms of a gestating infant's life as … well … undeserving of any "inalienable right to life", or the protections afforded an American's life under the Declaration of Independence.
This intellectual supremacism, not unlike racial supremacism, born in such halls of higher learning as the Ivy League, in its obsession with "Progress", has blinded most college graduates to the realities of Progressivism's own, unavoidable inhumanity.
In other words, the emperor not only has no clothes, he has no heart.
The Progressive Golden Rule now reads: "Let us do unto gestating infants what we would not want to have been done unto our own gestating infancy."
President Obama's rhetorical cunning at the 2009, Notre Dame graduation ceremonies, his infuriatingly repetitive offer of negotiating room between the Roe v Wade right of Americans to abort their gestating infants and the horrid reality of one and a half million abortions in America per year, this "negotiating room" has proven to be as Progressively a lie as his so-called efforts to reach a "bi-partisan consensus" on his economic "stimulus package" and increasingly governmental control over America's entire economic life. He, his Geithner/Bernanke/Summers advisory staff and his Congressional bullies, Pelosi and Reid, rammed American debt up to four times that of President Bush. He offered not one ounce of "negotiating room" nor will he concede anything more to his new friends at Notre Dame than another irresistible smile.
We are watching a demagogue increasingly expose himself as a decreasingly charming dictator.
What has been Obama's secret?
His Machiavellian knowledge of just how corrupt the American people have returned to being with the Roe v Wade decision. From Dredd Scott to Roe v Wade: from legalized slavery to legalized abortion.
America is now a vastly more wounded and crippled nation after the Obama "remedies"; and is an increasingly vulnerable target, one more than willing to be handed over to the all-enveloping, Marxist New World Order.
Our insane debt to Communist China which the Obama administration has compounded, the American people's utter disregard for even the basic fundamentals of economics, these can only be explained by a massive enthrallment with Obama which, in turn, could only be compared to the worship of the legendary demagogue, Huey Long of Louisiana. Spiritually, Chicago and New Orleans aren't all that far apart.
The increasingly exposed, criminal shenanigans of ACORN, the home office of which is in New Orleans, its campaign to get Obama elected faces the growing certainty that ACORN will be neither disbanded nor even disrupted by Fox news' investigations.
Tyrannies have always been above an honest press.
In such circumstances, can a few, honest historians even survive?!
Yes, if they lay low, collect their data and wait!
Wait out Huey Long, or, in reference to last week's editorial, the deposed Richard II or even a Caesar Augustus!
While Huey Long in the White House might prove to be Richard Nixon waving from a flight that leaves for California, none of the Caesars ever had the problem of facing a Communist China, a neo-Soviet Russia, an insane North Korea and radical Islam … after having burned not Rome but all of Rome's money.
