Why does evil prosper?

By Alisa Craddock

Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all who are treacherous thrive?...[T]hou art near in their mouth and far from their heart.  Jeremiah 12:1-2

Why does evil prosper?  Perhaps it is because those who embrace evil are not bound by the rules the rest of us, those who embrace the plan given us by our good God, live by.  And because their lawlessness and irrationality so confounds the rightly ordered mind of a man with a rightly ordered conscience, it is difficult for him to know how to combat the evil.  We must be cunning as serpents, and innocent as lambs.

Take our current administration:  By appointing unelected "czars" to run everything, our president has created a shadow government, answerable only to him, whose activities are in no way subject to the scrutiny of the American people, nor subject to being booted out of office, nor impeached.  That's unconstitutional. And with Democrat majorities in both houses of Congress, the Left can push through almost any spending bill they want, shut out the Republicans, and trample all over the Constitution, because there is no one with the power to stop them. By controlling the census, the White House can control the way voting districts are drawn, and can redraw them more favorably to Democrats, ensuring continued Democrat control (also illegal).  By imposing the "Employee Free Choice Act" (that's one of those euphemisms that mean the opposite of what it sounds like it means—like the "Ministry of Love" in Orwell's 1984) and eliminating secret ballots for union organizing, a larger percentage of people will be intimidated into voting to form a union, and the rest will be forced into unions, and the union dues which they will then be compelled to pay will be used to support Democrat candidates, though many, or even most of them, may oppose those candidates.  By spending stimulus money to gain control of private businesses and banks, the government, far from creating all the new jobs that were supposed to come out of it, instead offers them devil's own seduction, with myriad strings attached (more like tentacles--Any time you get money from the Fed, they own you.  You have to do what they say, play by their rules.  Like bargaining with the devil.)  While we get CHANGE in a big way, it is hardly what those who voted for him expected, and the HOPE is fading fast, as the strength, vitality, competitiveness, and respect America enjoyed in earlier times vanishes beneath a mountain of debt, a mounting unemployment rate, and an outrageous agenda too huge to wrap your mind around, and moving too fast to get a handle on.

Then there is ACORN.  An organization known to engage in corruption, inscrutable and untouchable, as complex as any mob organization, an organization even some of its own officers (or former officers) have found doesn't pass the "smell test".  And these people are involved with the census. That should inspire confidence.

Let's not forget the list of "enemies" and individuals the new administration considers possible "terrorists".  Is the Department of Homeland Security going to turn into our KGB, looking for anyone who might throw darts at an image of Obama?  They might be terrorists!  Or anyone who is especially exercised about states rights, 2nd Amendment rights, or who might oppose a global government.  (Silly conspiracy theorists.  Wing-nut wackos…)  I don't know if it is fair to second guess the president's motivations, but "helping" the American people, it seems to me, is only a mantra, not an objective.  Absolute control is the true objective.

And keeping that in mind, perhaps most frightening spectre of all--if the government takes over our health care, there is every indication that it will result in long waits and poor results, as it has in England and Canada.  Now with the government approving every shot you get, every test, every procedure, every medication prescribed, and with such a need to stretch limited resources (especially after the doctor shortage this will create) how do you suppose they will cut those costs?  Memorize these words: Comparative Effectiveness Research. Another way of saying that might be "return on investment."  That is to say, if the government bureaucrats don't think that your treatment is worth the money, you won't get it.  Perhaps you'll be made "comfortable" with pain meds and allowed to die.  They can deny it all they want, but too many people have already let out that healthcare rationing was on the horizon (though they don't call it that).  Now think about this. Given this administration's track record for rewarding their political allies and consolidating power, and their cunning effort to shut out their political opponents, is it unreasonable to expect that those who favor the current administration will receive treatment more frequently and more quickly than those who don't?  At least that will solve the problem of the social security shortfall, as baby boomers are selectively declined treatment, or their treatment gets delayed. It sounds gruesome even to contemplate it, but given this administration's track record in paying back political allies with massive amounts of our money while "demonizing" conscientious objectors as potential terrorists (the other side being anyone not meek enough to be herded into the slave ship without resistance) I don't think it is at all out of the question.

And while, in each of these cases, Obama tries to distance himself from their radical agendas, it is he who picked them, and we have to assume that it's precisely because they would enact HIS plans, his agenda.  There have already been disturbing instances suggestive of a totalitarian agenda:  People stopped and checked out with Homeland Security because of a bumper sticker; firings of people who opposed Obama or one of his friends, efforts to get control of Conservative Talk Radio by imposing "localism" and a Leftist standard of what constitutes the "public interest." And he is working at breakneck speed to entwine government into every aspect of American life before we can figure it all out and stop it.

Now, about that silly New World Order conspiracy, in 1992 a man named Gary Kah, a former rising star in the global political sphere, wrote a book entitled En Route to Global Occupation, about his discovery of a global plan for a one-world government.   He was himself involved in an organization called the World Constitution and Parliament Association whose plans and documents he reproduced in the book.  One of those documents was a Constitution for the Federation of Earth.  Included in the ambitious and benign sounding preamble (page 210) was this statement:

"Realizing that Humanity today has come to a turning point in history and that we are on the threshold of a new world order…Conscious that Humanity is One [sic] despite the existence of diverse nations, races, creeds, ideologies and cultures and that the principle of unity in diversity is the basis for a new age when war shall be outlawed and peace prevail; when the earth's total resources shall be equitably used for human welfare and when basic human rights and responsibilities shall be shared by all; Conscious  of the inescapable reality that the greatest hope for the survival of life on earth is the establishment of a democratic world government; We the citizens of the world, hereby resolve to establish a world federation to be governed in accordance with this Constitution for the Federation of Earth."

Pay particular attention to the words in italics above—"Unity in Diversity".  Does that sound familiar?  It should.  Just a little over a week ago, Russian President Medvedev showed off the new (future) global currency just struck in Belgium.  What is the motto?  Why UNITY IN DIVERSITY, of course.

While we are frantically and feverishly trying to stop this plan or that scheme of the Obama administration and the Pelosi/Reid Congress, and fighting each other tooth and claw, we are missing the real culprit in our midst.  Gary Kah spelled it out in his book.  The real enemy is the Federal Reserve.  At the very dawn of our country's formation, none other than Thomas Jefferson himself warned about such a private entity that would bring America's banking system under its control:

If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation and the by deflation, the banks and the corporations that will grow up around them, will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Kah further goes on to describe how Woodrow Wilson's chief advisor, Edward Mandell House, persuaded him to support and sign the Federal Reserve Act.  Later, writes Kah, when Pres. Wilson realized what he had done, he said, "I have unwittingly ruined my country."

According to Kah, at least once a decade, someone tries to persuade Congress to order an audit of the Federal Reserve, or to dissolve it, without success.  The money is too powerful, and opposing this powerful cartel has had deadly consequences for a number of government officials.

The current effort to audit the Fed was ignited by Ron Paul in the House (H.R. 1207, with 271 co-sponsors), and there is a Senate version as well, S-604, with 13 co-sponsors.  I think that while we are trying to stop the "Cap and Tax" bill, government health care, the Hate Crimes amendment (to the Defense spending bill, no less—sneaky, huh?), and all the other Leftist plans for our country, we, as conservatives (and liberals, too) should get behind H.R.1207 and S-604, and keep at it until our leaders have no choice but to act.  If we are going to save our country, we have to prioritize, and further, we have to look past all the calculated infighting they have set us to, and let our leaders know we see through it.  We aren't going to accept slavery and oppression.  We want our country back.

May Almighty God, by the Morning Star, guide our Ship of State out of this maelstrom of madness, to anchor once again upon the gentle shores of milk and honey that was, and is, America. ESR
