The inevitably Marxist zoo VIII: Cutting God down to size!
By Michael Moriarty
Since population size and the increasing control over that shrinking population is one of the American Progressive Movement's primary goals because of its proven ability to lessen poverty by legalized abortion, I've titled this episode of the Marxist zoo: Cutting God down to size!
With such a title, the following can be traced through two versions of God: one is the Marxist view of no god at all except Communist Man As The State; and the other is, of course, the traditional belief and faith in a Higher Power. So God is either God or finally a unified human race under, of course, the now, intensely Marxist content within Progressive rules and standards. Regardless, both God and humanity, at least according to Progressives, must be reduced!
God's too fat and powerful, and/or the Earth is overpopulated. So whether God is God or God is Man, He's got to be cut down to size!
It's actually very difficult to determine just how real and sincere some of the Progressive claims to Judeo-Christian faith are. Both the Clintons and Obamas, for example, say they're Christians. However, their passionate faith in the "Progress" of science is so complete and unquestioning that the spiritual debates over legalized abortion – which the Progressives, both Republican and Democrat, have instituted – defy a myriad of religious beliefs. Whatever science and scientists want appears to be what the Progressives will give to science, depending, of course, upon the Progressive priorities.
Many of the faithful disagree about the omniscience of science. They point to the horrid repercussions, during Europe's Nazi occupation, of eugenics and its scientific authentication as the direct product of Darwinian evolution. The Nazis labeled eugenics as "indisputable science!"
Are the Progressive necessities of "a woman's right to abortion" and "global warming" just as indisputable?
Whichever God the Progressive Catholics such as Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi worship, whether it is the Vatican's divinity – which is doubtful considering the Pope's unswerving opposition to abortion - or humanity itself, these key members of the Obama administration are obviously determined to cut both God and humanity down to a manageable size. That they themselves are simply men and women like those they wish to cut down to size … hmmm … to a Progressive that's progress!
Efforts by the American Founding Fathers to establish some guiding principles "under God", such legendary proclamations as the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and Bill of Rights, particularly the regulations protecting individual freedom and the separation of powers … well … these traditional values are disappearing rather boldly and with remarkable speed.
This should be no surprise to anyone who knows the history of the American Supreme Court, that questionably noble body of intellects created to be the oversight-committee-of-all-oversight committees, men who passed such mind-bending inhumanities as the Dred Scott decision of 1857, the Buck v Bell decision of 1927 and the Roe v Wade decision of 1973.
How did these American Justices come to legalize slavery, sterilization of their fellow human beings and abortion?
I might answer that question by asking how our present President, Barack Obama, came not only to an aggressive promotion of abortion worldwide but also the Obama Doctrine of "moral equivalence" between each and every nation?
According to Obama, Israel and Iran are moral equivalents and therefore a meeting with Iran's leader, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, "without preconditions" is imperative.
Well … it's a little awkward now after the death of Neda in the streets of Tehran … but … hmmm … let's see how Harvard created foreign policy not only for its graduate, Barack Obama, but one of its earlier professors, Dr. Henry Kissinger.
Simple dialectics is basically the foundational philosophy upon which Kissinger has based his real politik or, as it is now known, Barack Obama's "Moral Equivalence".
The ingredients of dialectics are a thesis (or idea or point of view or religion or political commitment) an antithesis (the opposite idea or point of view) and then the synthesis (the welding together of these two opposites into an agreement or bargain or … yes, synthesis of both sides). That is, of course, the ideal, and, more importantly, the process by which the bi-partisan Progressives will maintain world peace!
Morals … or even morality of any kind, are not really involved within the solution-finding of dialectics, its decision-making process; and this, of course, bewilders many Americans, but then again many Americans didn't go to Harvard Law.
How do thesis, antithesis and synthesis relate to the title of this editorial?
Well, in the case of finding a synthesis between, say, America's democracy and Iran's God-inspired desire to destroy Israel, somewhere along the way of finding a "synthesis", both democracy and Allah will have to be "cut down to size" to create the "Synthesis".
This, I must remind you, was the formula that filled President Richard Nixon's head when he and Secretary Kissinger visited Mao Tse Tung in Red China, enjoyed a mammoth spotlight and then, perhaps as a result of that meeting with Mao, capitulated to Ho Chi Minh and North Vietnam.
That parley between Nixon/Kissinger and Mao ended up, indeed, a synthesis that veered completely and totally to the Left, to the antithesis of a thesis called democracy.
The Communists basically eradicated any possible antithesis to Marxism.
True democracy, interestingly enough, is a dialectic solved in the clash of thesis and antithesis in a voting boothand within the heart and mind of each citizen. Democracy's individual liberty, its minority right to protest and its freedom of expression are parts of a concept repeatedly denied by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Does that man sound any more bent toward a "synthesis" than Mao Tse Tung or Ho Chi Minh were?
Does the Obama Doctrine of international moral equivalence or Kissinger's real politik, so based upon dialectics, sound even remotely American to you? Or do dialectics themselves, so worshipped by the atheist Karl Marx, smell like an Ivy League sales job?
The Progressive response to this would be: "Ho Chi Minh won the war because he deserved to win the war! And if President Obama wants to drag us kicking and screaming to the Left, he deserves to be able to do that!"
"He's our Ho Chi Minh!!"
Hmmm … the American Ho Chi Minh … fine.
If you'd rather live in a Vietnam than in what once was the greatest nation on earth, you've not only cut God down to size, you've dwarfed and, what's more, cannibalized yourselves.
If a Marxist can presume to cut God down to absolutely nothing, then cutting the American nation down to the moral and economic equivalence of a third world province in the New World Order should be as easy for President Obama as swatting flies, right?
Next week, I will examine the Twentieth Century history of men who proclaimed themselves to be "The Synthesis Itself!"
Stalin, Mao and Ho Chi Minh were three such victors in this ongoing ruse of Marxist dialectics.
Until next week, please pray for the arrival of a counter-revolutionary antidote such as Winston Churchill or Ronald Reagan, men or women who can prove themselves to be a … uh … "Counter-synthesis!"
