Red Islam rising

Staring at the cover of Robert Gellately's book, Lenin, Stalin And Hitler -- all three faces framed into a forbidding triptych -- I think to myself: "There's one face missing, that of Mao Tse Tung. That would complete the four corners, yes, the four columns within this Hall of 20th Century Horrors!"

Jung Chang and Jon Halliday have written what is, so far, the only complete biography of Mao. This singular achievement is extraordinary. I'm sure their effort to research this monster's life in his own, still well-guarded lair of China must have proven daunting and, at times, almost impossible, given the high regard in which Mao is still obviously held in 2008, Olympics Beijing. His photo is all over that city.

Mao was so sadistic, his ambitions so unrelentingly ruthless and his rule over China so cruel and merciless that I often had to put the biography of him down. As fellow contributor to Enter Stage Right, Bruce Walker, might describe it, Mao seemed to have become the very wellspring of "Sinisterism" … far surpassing his obvious role model, Joseph Stalin.

Chairman Mao has proven to be, at least in my opinion, almost the equal of the other three monsters combined … that, of course, includes Adolf Hitler.

Meanwhile in Washington, D. C., "Progressive" foreign and domestic policy styles, now so re-popularized by the Clinton administration – they were forced to fade in the late 1930's, during the FDR administration, because of the questionable allegiances of vice-president Henry A. Wallace. The VP's Progressive loyalties seemed increasingly more connected to Stalin's Moscow than FDR's Washington. Similarly, the VP replacing Wallace, Harry Truman, soon faced, as President, his own failing popularity in America with his administration's loss of Nationalist China to Mao Tse Tung's Communist tyranny.

Progressives now try to dismiss the ruling Nationalist Party of Chiang Kai-shek as a corrupted government, one "progressively" overthrown by Mao Tse Tung.

"Nationalist China," say the Progressives, "was as weak or weaker than the South Vietnamese government before that sad nation's own fall to Communism."

In short, and according to radical Progressives, American capitalism corrupts itself before the predictable, "Change", so obligated by "Progress", takes place.

However, if you include Osama bin Laden in such "Progress" … you have Red Islam Rising.

We seem to have begun the "Horrors of the 21st Century" with the 9/11 assault upon New York and Washington. Osama, however, now appears to be only the prelude to Vladimir Putin's neo-Soviet Russia and, with Russia's recent invasion of Georgia, a return to at least the tensions of the Cold War. With Islamic and Kremlinesque machinations, plots and plans to humble and humiliate the Western World … it's as if Mao, Lenin, Stalin and Hitler himself – dressed as Osama bin Laden – were overseeing a Communist-led version of anti-Judeo-Christianity.

This Red Islam, in a pan-nuclear age, is a growing aggression that contains as much or more potential death in it than the 1940's Axis assault upon Europe and America. Think of Hitler and Saddam Hussein combined -- with Stalin behind them -- and Mao's China waiting in the wings as back up.

With the mix of Radical Islam and a neo-Soviet Russia, the final addition of the Sphinx-like, Communist China to that horrifying concoction leaves NATO and the United States with few strategic alternatives aside from nuclear war.

Hitler bargained his way into Czechoslovakia and then he barged his way into Poland to call the bluff of the rest of Europe and England.

Never call Winston Churchill's bluff! With less than a pair of two's he would stay in the game if leaving it meant surrendering his own nation … and his own self-respect.

What's to happen then, when Red Islam rises?

When Muslim and Communist forces are united to destroy Judeo-Christianity?

When there appears to be no Winston Churchill around to lead us?

"There's always an FDR available in the Democratic Party!"

But do we really want to give back to the Russians … all of Eastern Europe?

"No, it's only Georgia he wants!"

Like Hitler wanted lebensraum!

"Putin is not Hitler!"

Alright … how about Stalin!

"We Progressives could always talk with Stalin."

So FDR was a Progressive all along?

The Communists already own almost all of China and half of the United Nations … and, as Mark Steyn points out in America Alone, Islam is taking over what the Communists don't already possess. If Islam and the Communists build an "Axis" … a militant and military coalition …

"We send them our newest FDR, President Barack Obama."

Hmmm … but your "newest FDR" promised change.

"But we Democrats know the route he wants to take for change … and FDR, Truman and Clinton took us halfway there. Barack need only pick up where Bill left off."

If Putin, bin Laden and Ahmadinejad of Iran persuade Red China to join them … "you Democrats" … all of you … are in for more "Change" than even a President Barack Obama could have anticipated. ESR
