Sacked by identity politics?

To all those who find comfort in the largest Republican majorities in American government at the national and state levels since the 1920s – you probably shouldn’t. That’s because the insane dismantling of America and Western Civilization by the cultural Marxists of the left continues unabated: oppressive political correctness; the vilification of white people and European heritage; the smashing of Judeo-Christian values; the demonization of national borders; the disparagement of capitalism; destructive identity politics; the mainstreaming of transgender madness; the ruination of our schools and universities; the gutter trashing of our popular culture; the discarding of 2,500 years of accumulated wisdom of the West.
In other words, the ideological left continues to poison, ruin or destroy everything it touches, regardless of which political party is in charge. But hey, let’s not dwell on such unpleasantries every hour of every day. Instead, let’s take a break from the nation’s political strife for a few hours and sit down and enjoy watching a professional football game, shall we?
Like hell! I mean, it would be nice, but nothing remains untouched by leftist poison, not even the hallowed American gridiron. So, turn on an NFL game now and you may very well be subjected to the infuriating spectacle of some of the world’s most privileged, but at the same time, ungrateful and unpatriotic people as they refuse to stand during the national anthem.
This all basically started in 2016 with Colin Kaepernick, the misguided, mixed-race NFL quarterback who decided, as a social/political statement, not to stand for the national anthem at games. His explanation was as follows: “I am not going to stand up to show pride . . . for a country that oppresses . . . people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people . . . getting away with murder.”
Yeah, there are bodies in the street alright, but as everyone knows (because this isn’t some deep dark secret), the overwhelming majority of them are victims of the out-of-control, black-on-black murder epidemic. There are so many bullets flying in some black neighborhoods that innocent young children get shot while sleeping in their beds. Such hails of bullets are not being discharged from the guns of white supremacists in blue uniforms, but rather from the guns of Kaepernick’s black brothers.
The truth is that the left is promulgating a despicable lie that cops, particularly white cops, are waging a war against black men. Kaepernick – who, just to be clear, is half white, was abandoned by his black father and was adopted by a white couple who gave him everything – fully buys into that, as do multitudes of others. How do we know it’s a lie? Because the actual numbers provided by the U.S. Department of Justice don’t lie. And those numbers show that twice as many whites as blacks are killed by cops in an average year. Given that blacks commit approximately fifty percent of all violent crime in America, you would expect that the number of whites and blacks killed by police might be about equal. But again, twice as many whites as blacks are killed.
Another factoid that might be of some interest to the likes of Kaepernick is that cops are 19 times more likely to be killed by a black person than vice versa. So much for the police waging a war against black men.
Even a black Harvard professor, Roland Fryer, who conducted an in-depth study of police shootings of suspects, came up with what he called the “most surprising result” of his career. His study found that police were less likely to shoot and kill black suspects than other suspects.
Can you say, “Case closed?”
By the way, no one is denying that black males are scrutinized disproportionately by law enforcement. That’s because they commit a wildly disproportionate amount of violent crime (which, again, is not some deep dark secret). To make things worse for themselves, even many who aren’t actually criminals choose, for cultural reasons, to adopt the attitude, appearance and behavior of street thugs. It’s all part of a seemingly intractable ghetto culture of self-defeating behaviors. The left shamelessly ignores this black social pathology and instead wages a twisted war on cops, which happens to be the only force standing between us and anarchy.
In any case, while it is beyond question that the premise for Kaepernick’s protest is a demonstrable lie, that hasn’t stopped numerous other delusional players from following his lead and thus far it hasn’t stopped the NFL from foolishly allowing the poison of identity politics to infiltrate the playing field. So the NFL is allowing its malcontented players to alienate potentially millions of patriotic fans who actually appreciate the United States of America and its boundless opportunities. Many fed-up fans have already turned away, though it remains to be seen whether it will ever be enough to hurt the NFL’s bottom line such that it decides to clamp down on the protests.
And now, lo and behold, there’s the threat of a boycott coming from a completely different angle. The NAACP has entered the fray and called for a boycott of the NFL until – guess what? – Kaepernick is rehired! You see, Kaepernick opted out of his contract with San Francisco after the 2016 season to become a free agent and no team has thus far been crazy enough to hire this obvious public relations disaster with the retro ‘fro and a bad attitude. For the NAACP this is prima facie evidence that the NFL is racist, even though 70 percent of its players are black. Even if it were 100 percent, to the NAACP the whole thing is nothing but one big plantation exploiting people of color.
Remember when black boycotts had to do with real indignities like being forced to sit at the back of buses, enduring segregated facilities and generally being deprived of normal civil rights? Back then, a half century ago, boycotts were one of the tools which helped a righteous civil rights movement to be wildly successful. Now, in an age when institutional racism is harder to find than Bigfoot, it’s about a pampered and ungrateful millionaire who is among the most privileged and fortunate human beings to have ever lived.
Hey, NAACP, why don’t you butt out of the fans’ boycott and go find something constructive to do, like encouraging blacks to shun the self-destructive ghetto culture, stop having babies out of wedlock and instead adopt the habits of excellence that lead to success. In other words, do something useful rather than pointlessly stirring up racial divisiveness.
But such division, compliments of the left, will be America’s future forever unless sensible people start fighting back. Right now the left, which is comprised of mostly malignant souls who seem congenitally incapable of happiness or satisfaction with anything, is doing its dead level best to poison, ruin or destroy virtually every facet of what was once considered traditional American life. If patriotic citizens can’t be bothered to, at the very least, turn off the NFL in order to send a message that enough is enough, then they can kiss the greatest country in history goodbye.
