Remaking America for global governance: Interfaithism, eco- and social- justice, transhumanism, techno-fascism By Debra Rae In the wake of President Obama's State of the Union Address, many ponder what 2015 will look like for their families, nation, and world. The President referenced the work of "remaking America" and boasted "a breakthrough year for America" with "the shadow of crisis past." "We have laid a new foundation," he reported; and "a brighter future is ours to write." Alexis De Tocqueville famously noted, "There is no country in the world where the Christian religion retains a greater influence over the souls of men than in America, and … its influence is powerfully felt over the most enlightened and free nation of the earth." Having committed his administration to "fundamental change," President Obama marches to the beat of a different drum. Whatever we once were" [i.e., the "most enlightened and free nation"], Obama opined, "We are no longer a Christian nation–at least, not just. We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, and a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers," June 28, 2006 (as delivered). More accurately, to borrow the words of Patrick Henry, "America affords asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship to peoples of other faiths, or none." A Muslim or Buddhist nation she is not. This founding father further maintained, "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ." Interfaithism Without asking, "How's it working for you, Jordan?" the President aligns his vision with that of King Abdullah II whose proposal for World Interfaith Harmony Week, an official UN program, is now observed the first week in February. This year, the Council of Interfaith Communities and the Order of Universal Interfaith will host a conference in San Francisco to explore "the evolution of human spirituality." Thousands of faith leaders and activists will gather in Salt Lake City for the Parliament of the World's Religions; and the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy and Religion will sponsor a symposium in Thessaloniki, Greece, to discuss the role of "unity of faiths" as primary vehicle for advancing coveted world peace. Bogus Peace Bait Speaking of which, 2014 was earmarked as an official Year for Middle East Peace. Granted, Australian officials foiled a grisly plot by Islamic State militants, and Malala Yousafzai deservedly earned a Nobel Peace Prize. However, as early as January, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) stormed Fallujah and later crucified residents in the largely Christian area of Raqqa, Syria. Demanding that Christians convert to Islam, or pay a penalty, ISIS overran Mosul and forced more than a half million to flee. The U.S. military escalated air strikes on ISIS targets, and the President deployed 1,500 additional troops to Iraq. In a 50-day war between Israel and Hamas, 2,100 Palestinians and 70 Israelis died, Iranian authorities severely beat American pastor-prisoner Saeed Abedini, and a string of gruesome beheadings stunned the civilized world. In Kabul, a security guard executed American doctors at a compound run by CURE International; and Taliban militants assailed a California-based NGO compound. A "breakthrough year" for Americans? A Year for Middle East peace? Hardly. Decade of Sustainability A Single, Comprehensive Regime Engineering natural resource use for sustainable development, the Dresden Nexus Conference will focus on three interlocking themes (global Climate Change, Urbanization, and Population Growth). In Paris, UNESCO and the International Council for Science and Future Earth will explore similar themes. Keep in mind the Global Commons encompasses outer space, the atmosphere, non-territorial seas, and environmental systems that support life. Freedom therein is said to bring ruin to all, thus necessitating stiff enforcement of international law. Fingers crossed, "a single, comprehensive regime" is anticipated. Toward this Post-2015 system of world law, the President of the UN General Assembly will host a high-level meeting in June. Eco-justice Today's "inner voice of humanity" purportedly begs for "a pure moment of one" whereby the clear boundary between physics and metaphysics is obliterated; and scientific study of the universe (cosmology) defers to its worship (cosmolatry). A tele-summit on 24 October 2015 will mark a worldwide Global Oneness Day. In Paris, an invitation-only Second UNESCO Forum on Global Citizenship Education will integrate global citizenship with policies and programs embedded in the Post-2015 global agenda. As a show of the Marx-Leninist concept of "earning one's keep on Planet Earth," campaigns for global wealth redistribution and eco-justice provide groundwork leading up to Earth Day on Lenin's birthday. This April 22nd Melbourne will host the largest conference and film festival related to advancing Marxism in the Asia-Pacific region. An annual summer conference in Chicago, Socialism 2015 will address civil activism and protest in light of the growing unrest within our own nation, and Building the New Order Conference (Radford, Virginia) will encourage social democracy, altruism, spiritual unity, organic- and holistic- networks to ensure our integrated future. Can you feel the love? Social Justice Its theme "the New Global Context," the 2015 World Economic Forum in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, is the "foremost creative force for engaging the world's top leaders in collaborative activities" that shape global/ regional/ industrial agendas. Whether accomplished by consent or conquest, the end goal is global governance, which cannot be left to chance. Collective wisdom must be pooled for Obama's "brighter future" to guarantee human rights for all under international law—this, by systematically forfeiting American exceptionalism and autonomy. Through economic transformation and religious dialogue, leaders from Kazakhstan worked hard in 2014 to transform its capital (Astana) into a wannabe mecca for internationalism. Next June, Astana will host the 5th World Religious Congress—its theme, "dialogue of religious leaders and politicians in the name of peace and development." Though small, this Congress will draw figures from the United Nations, the World Islamic League, and the Alliance of Civilizations. October will mark a Global Week of Action (e.g., advocacy campaigns, debates, lobbying, marches, demonstrations, and workshops) for a World Parliament. In December 2015, the 14th Session of the Provisional World Parliament will convene in Kolkata (Calcutta), India. Transhumanism In "the shadow of crisis past," rugged, salt-of-the-earth Americans no longer cut mustard. Coupled with social and ecological justice, self-directed human evolution through technology and science necessitates a "new story" of our origins, culture, values, and beliefs—one devoid of a transcendent God. Raising consciousness for human evolution and global spiritual development, speakers in London will address the annual Conference for Consciousness and Human Evolution. Thereafter, SAND 2015, a San Jose, California, conference will attract leading mystics and scientists alike. To awaken humanity to spiritual magnificence, Toronto's New Thought Conference will cultivate mankind's "mental garden." Last year in Tianjin, China, the World Economic Forum hosted the foremost global gathering on science, technology, and innovation. To study extreme life extension and cognitive enhancement, cultural trendsetters gathered in San Francisco, Orlando, and London. In January 2015 Arizona State University hosted its third annual conference on transforming humanity; in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, Our Transhuman Futures (2015) will explore human-robot interactions. Prophetic Link A plethora of global-change events should come as no surprise to students of the Bible. Last-day theology is a major theme throughout the poetic books, major- and minor- prophets, Pauline- and general- epistles, and gospels, not to mention the book of Revelation. Signs of the times are likened to birth pangs—ever increasing in intensity and earmarked by political-economic upheavals, armed conflicts, racial unrest, drug abuse, natural calamities, consensus, and totalitarian world order enforced in the bogus name of peace, but destined instead to mass destruction. Religious deception (Earth worship/ self-god delusion) trails animosity toward biblical ethics—resulting in abounding lawlessness, even persecution. In the race toward World War 3, Israel increasingly takes center stage. Despite access to limitless information, Bible truth is sadly scarce. Even unwary believers apostatize; however, those with "eyes to see" and "ears to hear" embrace "a more sure word" to which all have open access. "A brighter future" really is "ours to write." Toward that end, "whosoever will" may take the road to transformation on God's terms; and now is as good a time as any. Tune in to TRUTHTalk Beyond the Sound Bite with Debra Rae.
