Ever more frequently does the Bible hold the only answer to the gnawing questions that grow within America.
What is going to happen with a madman in the White House?
"Oh, he's not a madman! He's an empty suit! We'll see him gone in 2012!!"
Hmmm … I wish I could be so sure.
As Glenn Beck has repeatedly pointed out, the Progressive Movement in America is at least 100 years old. If you trace the Masonic relationship to the Progressives, you could trace this entire "enlightened despotism" back to beyond even the Renaissance.
With the unrelenting presumptions of inevitable omniscience, Progressives virtually hold all of Destiny in their imaginations and hardly worry about the millions of eggs they are obliged to break in order to create the Obama Omelet.
There was a photo of The One in the Drudge Report that exuded the President's more Imamish self-imagery.
With hands offered up, a pair of bizarrely golden birds hidden behind the fingertips, eyes glazed with divine certainty and lips pursed with Harvard determination, he knows himself to be an instrument of a god we all have yet to quite figure out.
The deity appears to be one half Marxist, one quarter Muslim and the rest divided, as most politicians do, into a potpourri of vote-winning possibilities.
Regardless, in the eyes of the Judeo-Christian World, he is increasingly a monster. A growing Goliath … and … well … we await our David.
Or, should we flip ahead in the Bible to Revelations to eagerly anticipate a Second Coming.
I may sound my usually hyperbolic self … but … I wish that were true. Whatever the phenomenon of Barack Hussein Obama is, it is here and it is huge. He is already 15th in the list of "Greatest Presidents".
15th and rising.
As we know from Time Magazine's almost divinely objective eye, "greatness" does not necessarily mean "goodness". Time does know a headline junkie when it sees one. What Time chooses to feed this rapacious appetite for the "fundamental transformation of the United States" will be its own, historically decisive call. One thing is for sure: Time will not prove to be our Second Coming, nor even our David.
No.
He who must replace The One and hurl the decisive rock to fell what amounts to half a millennium-old Goliath may not even be a he.
Nor a she.
It could, indeed, be the mysterious Holy Spirit arising from the Sacred Heart of what is left of Judeo-Christianity.
Now I am indeed being grand. Almost Papal. However, if you gaze into the opaque determination of this Imam? Shades of Osama bin Laden arise. Will, under Obama's watch, Israel fall as completely as the Twin Towers? Israel is the symbol of at least half of the Judeo-Christian Civilization.
America, devoid of any true European allies, completes the other half. With America in Obama's momentary possession, what is tiny Israel to him?! What can the last remaining democracy in the Middle East possibly mean to a young, Marxist King Lear? The Emperor of a Progressively Marxist New World Order? One with major Islamic sympathies?
Surely members of the New World Order Board of Directors can rein him in. Bill and Hillary are quite capable of sobering the headline junkie up. Aren't they?
Not if, as The One believes, those headlines … as the Bedouins say … are already "written"! We now, more than ever, need a Shakespeare to record this era. The bard was the only Christian genius who understood completely what a non-Christian, megalomaniacal mind might be dreaming up. His poetry can make even Hitler's, Stalin's and Mao's greed look almost inconsequential. Yes, where is this era's Shakespeare, b. 1564- d. 1616?
Until he shows up, I will try to pinch hit, so to speak.
All I need remind myself is that the Bard's inner eye peered through the same half Century that gave us the St. James Bible, 1611. The Grandest Melodrama of Good and Evil? Yes, all of life as we know it.
Things really haven't changed all that much. Merely the styles of communication.
The major question shall always remain the same. Who are the good guys and who are the major villains?
Those at the very top who don the crown of King, Emperor or, in the exponentially evil world of Karl Marx, the throne of God Himself?!
