Thanks for the wake-up call, Carly! By Michael Moriarty Carly Fiorina is now riding "Feminist Shotgun" for John McCain. She's being called his "Michelle Obama". Barack's wife is appealing to women voters on the Illinois Senator's behalf. McCain's wife isn't inclined to get that involved, I guess … so, gee, up pops Carly Fiorina to volunteer! Ms. Fiorina could toll the death knell for McCain if what I heard on CNN is what she said. For every feminist vote she collects, she will lose a pro-life vote. Her approach to questions about "birth control" used the following sales pitch: since Roe v. Wade hasn't really been threatened after over seven years of Bush (twelve "Bush years" actually) … you shouldn't worry about McCain when it comes to birth control. McCain, like Bush, will be no real threat to Roe v. Wade. That's how I read what she said … the Republican Feminist's spin! How long will both parties lie about the ruthlessly inhumane selfishness and homicidal irresponsibility of Roe v. Wade? How many euphemisms will the Progressives of both political parties come up with for eugenics … before America wakes up? Four more years of Roe v. Wade will bring continuous disaster down upon the United States. All our efforts to cure our economic, foreign and strategic problems will fail. America, as it was conceived in the Declaration of Independence and as a Judeo-Christian nation, can no longer have integrity in anyone's eyes … unless, of course, that person's eyes are willingly blind to both the Golden Rule and human equality. We fought a Civil War over the "self-evident" meaning of "all men are created equal" and lost over 600,000 American lives. "All men are created equal" obviously … or rather "self-evidently" does not mean, "all men are gestated as possible candidates for abortion". Don't tell Carly Fiorina that! She's too Progressive a Republican to be "boxed-in" by those old-fashioned and, by now, reactionary sentiments. Is there any real difference between Geraldine Ferraro and Carly Fiorina … except for their job titles? What was exposed by Bush's neo-conservatism … is now utterly mirrored by Fiorina's Republican feminism. The major, and publically declared distinction between Democrats and Republicans has been their stands on abortion. Fiorina made it very clear that McCain Republicans are really not sincere about their opposition to Roe v. Wade. Why? America doesn't really seem to be that concerned about abortion. It is certainly not a "hot button" issue. There are obviously much more … exceedingly more important issues to be dealt with first. Hmmmm … here's an "old-fashioned" sentiment, Ms Fiorina: God help America! However, because of Roe v. Wade, I don't think He will. "The Glory of the Coming of The Lord," that unforgettable image from The Battle Hymn of the Republic, might very well have been hastened by the Supreme Court's pro-slavery decision in the Dredd Scott case. The Almighty may very well step out of the way as our Protector, and let Islam, the Communists … and the really Old-Fashioned Devil, for that matter, tear America into tiny little pieces. I don't think He'll be as patient with abortion as He seemed to have been with slavery. In the name of biblical, poetic … and any other kind of justice, it appears to me that God's decreased patience with America is the fault of the Progressives, particularly "Progressive" Protestants, as the Clintons define themselves, and their "politically spiritual" … or "spiritually political" defense of abortion. "God has nothing against abortion," echoes the "evangelistic", and profoundly Progressive, former President Bill Clinton. As these "Christian" Progressives have quickened the tempo of what they call Progress, God's own pace of retribution may well be accelerated, cutting completion time in half … meaning that the thirty-five years of Roe v. Wade may eventually have only half the length of legalized slavery's 89 years within the United States! If that is the case, then legalized abortion may well be overturned within the next ten years. The agony that will force America to wake-up to that necessity will be the inevitable collapse of America under a profoundly corrupted, two party system … or as a friend of mine describes the present day Democrats and Republicans, a "politically incestuous" pair of let's pretend opponents, the two sides of which approve of abortion both openly and secretively. Carly Fiorina … thanks for the wake-up call! No wonder I left for Canada fourteen years ago. At least no one in the British Commonwealth has a Declaration of Independence to ruthlessly ignore.
