Is this the most important American election in our lifetime? Well, here in this link address, is a list of opinions on that question.
Whatever you, my dear reader, might think, I am personally on the edge of my old man's rocking chair!
A previously and vitally important election before my lifetime happened in Germany. on January 30th, 1933. Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany and on March 23rd, after his Nazi Party had swept into power during the March 5th federal election, he succeeded in passing the Enabling Act, which effectively gave him the power of a dictator.
Woody Allen, only a few years ago, said that President Barack Obama should be given dictatorial powers. Because Woody Allen cannot direct a movie without dictatorial powers, he concludes that no President can run a country without them.
Hmmm, well without Hitler there would have been neither a Volkswagen nor an Autobahn for Germans to drive their "People's Car" on.
Without Woody Allen there might have been fewer laughs in the world.
Without Hitler, however, there would have been no World War II.
I think it's fair to say that World War II would not have been possible without Hitler's Enabling Act.
Now Woody Allen wished and possibly still wishes to enable President Obama with dictatorial powers.
From Barack Obama's promise to "fundamentally transform the United States of America" and because of his conduct in office, the Obama Nation's exclusion of Congress from many or most of the President's major decisions involving life and death, from all of this?
Do we have a dictator in the making?
Not even the customary importance of a Presidential cabinet has been honored by President Obama.
Obama has his "Czars"!
The Russian Czars were dictators… and… well… it's a little nerve-wracking, don't you think?
The other fact that disturbs many Americans including myself is the anti-Semitic bias that seems to be peeking out from behind Barack Obama's presentations and policies. His smile!
Is what Obama has done to America anything to laugh at? Even comedians find it hard.
While I'm writing this, I am revising my Dance Suite for a second edition. More and more I find my music accompanying my efforts at explaining the world to myself if not to my readers.
This first movement of my Dance Suite is andante pesante. At one point I called it andante machismo.
The veiled machismo of the Clinton/Obama Ivy League Progressivism, trading witticisms on the David Letterman Show?
The bon mots of the courtiers.
Meanwhile, I've switched from a Finale playback of my Dance Suite to the early efforts of what might evolve, given God's blessings, into my Symphony No. 1.
This particular movement of mine that I'm now listening to is inspired by the paintings of Vincent Van Gogh.
Is Van Gogh's now giant stature as an artist the result of madness or genius or both? Whatever it was, it culminated in a very questionable suicide.
Yes, there are numerous objections to the legend of Van Gogh's death. There is no doubt he cut off his own ear.
However, even the recent new biography by Steven Naifeh describes Van Gogh's acceptance of his own possible murder as consistent with his previous acts of rage and self-loathing. A younger brother of Van Gogh's friend may well have shot the artist who limped back to his lodgings where he died while sharing his last thoughts with his landlord.
What has my music, a Dance Suite and Vincent Van Gogh have to do with the coming election and my references to Adolf Hitler and World War II?
Today's sense of mythic madness I find akin to the Nazism, Fascism, Stalinism and Maoism of previous decades. The Elite of Washington, its "Courtiers and Kings", Kissinger's, Clinton's, Obama's and George Soros, now call their own madness "Open Societies", "Progressivism" or "The Third Way"!
In this insanity's unmitigated support for wholesale abortion, The Progressive Third Way has legalized murder.
Now with Obama's insane pride over having "called the hit" on Osama bin Laden, his Drones are now serving up wholesale slaughter.
America's and Mitt Romney's wholesale agreement with this Bush/Obama homicidal policy corroborates my certainty that we have been in the middle of World War III ever since 9/11. The Free World's Soul, because of not declaring open war on Radical Islam, is stewing in corruption.
For relief I am now listening to a playback of my Concerto For Orchestra's satire on the classical format for 18th Century symphonies.
The age of atomic bombs doesn't arrive until my introduction of Stravinsky's own version of Classicism with his Symphony In C (1938-40).
Yes, I poke fun at that as well. What a lovely time it was, speaking relatively, when I first conceived of the satire in the early 1980's!
Now, as my introduction indicated, we're all on the edge of our seats!!
No matter whom is elected, Obama or Romney, World War III will not only continue but it will escalate! A raging, anti-Semitic madness, mirroring Hitler's Nazism but in potentia worldwide within the 1.4 billion Muslims inhabiting the earth!!
Meanwhile, The Obama Youth are singing "We're Blaming You" if Obama's not reelected.
That fact alone would have me voting for Romney.
As I've recently indicated to a pen pal, America, no matter how hard the Progressively Marxist New World Order tries, is not 1930's Europe.
Tragically, however, a Civil War in the United States is inevitable. It may very well inspire a World War III since the stakes fought over in a Second American Civil War involve every other corner of the world.
God willing, Romney, rather like Lincoln in the First American Civil War, will be President of the United States.
If that is the case, then the wholesale abortion of the post Roe v Wade years and its virulence during the Obama years will begin to wane.
As for American democracy? And the once indestructible American Republic? They are both in danger no matter who is elected President of the United States.
The Progressively Marxist New World Order begun in America by the Bush/Clinton Coalition is even now sitting upon the Romney Drawing Table.
A President Romney will have to bow to it, negotiate with it and concede things to it if he is going to remain in power for longer than one term. Romney will be lucky if he even overturns Obamacare, let alone giving the separate States their own individual right to vote upon the legalities of abortion.
Will Romney's Presidency be a brief moment of optimism crushed by the reality of a Progressively Marxist (increasingly centralized) New World Order?
I pray that will not be the case.
We shall see.
