Perhaps Vladimir Putin's favorite self-image would be himself as the "Nelson Mandela of Russia"!
Mandela's profound connection to the Soviet Union might have had something to do with it.

However, when Putin announced himself as a Russian Orthodox Christian?!
A Christian Marxist?
Rather like Pope Francis' Liberation Catholicism? Or President Obama's Islamic Christianity? Part of the Putin anomaly, Vladimir Putin does not want his idea of a Soviet Empire to be part of the New World Order.
So Putin is not a wanna be Mao Zedong? Mao is a Communist legend still surviving as a demi-god in China.

Mandela's membership in the Communist Party is rarely talked about. Some think it an important corner of the "great man's" essence. It certainly had something to do with Soviet support for him.
However, Mandela is dead and Putin is alive and hoping to transform his own KGB history into that of a "Great Man of Legendary Influence". He's certainly cuts no slack for that other, legendary black leader, President Barack Hussein Obama.
With Iran and the tyrannical leader of Syria as Putin's fair weather allies in the Middle East, the Russian leader now deals with a corner of Islam that doesn't apparently like him or his fellow Russians: ISIS.
Does having a common enemy now make Obama's America and Putin's Neo-Soviet Russia friends?
Here, if you believe the discussion in this particular link things grow dizzyingly complicated.
We learn, rather convincingly from former CIA operative Kevin Shipp, that ISIS was the creation of Obama's and Hillary's bizarre war games in Libya and Benghazi.
ISIS, however, makes sure that all non-Muslims… plus a few million, non-orthodox Muslims… are permanently in danger.
What that eventually has meant to me
is that Islam
and its most effective
but secret leader,
Barack Hussein Obama,
are unstoppably
practicing a deliberately
suicidal religion.
Left to itself,
Islam has no alternative
but to,
albeit joyfully,
destroy itself.
Like the one-time Imperial Japan,
Islam's own kamikaze strategy
unavoidably weakens its own cause.
A Muslim's major enemy,
like that of Imperial Japan,
is Reality
with a capital "R".
That also means
that President Barack Hussein Obama
is,
as an unmistakably Muslim defender of Islam,
an unavoidably suicidal President.
A treasonous leader
determined to bring down America
with the help
of his unique
Presidential
And suicidal
Jihad.
Meanwhile,
Vladimir Putin
now faces the increasingly proven evidence
that a great number of Russians were recently
assassinated
by ISIS.
Putin might,
after these past days
of attempting to deny
the increasing evidence
of a bomb on board the downed plane in Egypt,
might be obliged
to serve up to ISIS
a bit of his own
well-known
KGB justice.
Neither Putin nor Obama, despite claims to the contrary, have done any serious damage to the ISIS-controlled territories.
Not so far, at any rate.
Why?
That is the 64,000 dollar question.
The 64,000 dollar answer?
Perhaps both leaders, despite Putin's denials, want the world to be continually terrorized until, perhaps decades from now, The Progressive/Marxist New World Order is run ostensibly by the United Nations.
With a mutual ally like Iran?
The human race is being expertly and increasingly terrorized by its own leadership.
Why?
That is how tyrants build their tyrannical empires.
Not the least of which
would be
The Progressively Marxist
New World Order.

Obama is not only a "narcissist" but psychiatrically manipulated by veiled forces, the least concealed of which, in my opinion, has been George Soros. Obama, an enemy of both Israel and America, is unquestionably a foreign agent.
Following this parade of treasonous Americans in the highest halls of power is, without much surprise, Hillary Clinton.
Mr. Shipp says unequivocally, "The intelligence community is part of a shadow government. You have a massive shadow government that is controlling much of this… "
According to this former CIA agent, Mr. Shipp, the head of CIA, John Owen Brennan, like the President himself, is a practicing Muslim.
What used to be the Free World, America particularly, is now, according to both Mr. Ship and his interviewer, on the verge of economic collapse.

The handing of the entire American experiment over to this Marxist/Muslim Axis so clearly represented by Vladimir Putin's Russian Alliance with both Iran and Red China and their naval maneuvers in the Mediterranean?!
Couple all that with Red China's war-like challenge in the South Pacific?!
The decades-long Communist and Iranian enemies of America?!
Their operative, President Barack Hussein Obama, is actually working for America's enemies and not against them.
Who could have ever imagined that, indeed, a future President of the United States would end up being a Third Millennium Tokyo Rose?
