Elijah Cummings is a racist

A racist is generally defined as "a person who demonstrates discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or believes that their own race is superior to others." That definition aptly describes Demo Rep. Elijah Cummings, based on his demonstrable black supremacist views. But the definition of racist also includes one who suppresses people based on their race, and that defines Cummings's approach to those in his predominantly black congressional district, which covers more than half of Baltimore city. He's represented that district since 1996 — and his city district in the Maryland state house for 13 years before that — with not much to show for it. In other words, he's a career politician. And it's a family affair: His wife is chairwoman of the Maryland Democratic Party.

The political platform of Cummings's socialist Democrat Party is crafted by "poverty pimps" — those who incorporate the failed so-called "Great Society" programs that have kept poor people, particularly poor black people, enslaved on their urban poverty plantations for generations. The objective of these race hustlers is to cast enough race bait and play enough race cards to keep their most loyal and monolithic constituency, black voters, believing that they must continue to depend on Democrats and their resoundingly failed policies.

One Leftmedia celebrity insisted last week that black people better vote for Democrats or they will end up in "concentration camps." The irony is that millions of black people are already in "concentration camps" because they vote Democrat.

Fact is, though Donald Trump's surprise 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton was by a narrow margin (his popular-vote loss was artificially inflated by the behemoth Demo bastions of California and New York), Demos know Trump can do it again. Thus, they can't afford even the tiniest loss of loyalty among black Americans.

Accordingly, the Democrats' strategy for keeping black voters on the plantation ahead of the 2020 election is to affix the "racist" label to any Republican who ever disagrees with any Democrat "of color." Indeed, Democrats are so obsessed with this now-meaningless word that they've begun firing it at each other. "Gang of Four" leader Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez dared to accuse House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of being racist and then attempted to walk back the accusation.

Their most absurd strategy, however, is offering "reparations for slavery," which is nothing more than a cash-for-votes scheme billed to American taxpayers.

Lasy week, in the wake of their self-inflicted Mueller calamity, the Demos and their Leftmedia propagandists switched their focus to a dispute between President Trump and the aforementioned Rep. Cummings.

Last month Trump responded to the disgraceful accusations leveled by Cummings, chairman of the powerful House Oversight and Reform Committee, against Trump's acting Homeland Security secretary, Kevin McAleenan.

In that hearing, Cummings baited, "You feel like you're doing a great job, right?" McAleenan replied, "We're doing our level best in a very challenging situation."

Then Cummings, a seasoned veteran of theatrical optics, erupted, "What does that mean when a child is sitting in their own feces — can't take a shower? ... They are human beings! ... I get tired of folks saying, 'Oh, they're just beating up on Border Patrol. Oh, they're just beating up on Homeland Security.'"

Of course, Cummings and his fellow Demos invited the flood of illegal immigrants into the U.S. by advertising that we have an open border and sanctuary cities and zones to protect them. And the result has been predictably awful, with DHS resources becoming utterly overwhelmed.

Suffice it to say that Democrats don't care about immigrant children except when they can be used as political props.

Trump, ever the counterpuncher, responded swiftly to Cummings's attack on DHS with a scathing tweet: "Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous. His district is considered the Worst in the USA. As proven last week during a Congressional tour, the Border is clean, efficient & well run, just very crowded. Cummings' District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous and filthy place."

Essentially, he told Cummings to do the same thing he told the socialist Gang of Four last week: Shut your lousy soup coolers and get your own house in order.

And he's absolutely right. Cummings's Baltimore is the most dangerous of any large city in America, largely because of those failed Democrat social policies. As for the city's record rat infestation, Baltimore's previous corrupt Demo mayor, Catherine Pugh, agreed. After touring the city's violence-riddled, trash-filled neighborhoods, she was caught on camera expressing her disgust: "What the hell? We should just take all this s—t down. ... Whoa, you can smell the rats."

White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney noted: "I think it's right for the president to raise the issue. Look, I was in Congress for six years. If I had poverty in my district like they have in Baltimore, if I had crime in my district like they have in Chicago, if I had homelessness in my district like they have in San Francisco, and I spent all of my time in Washington, DC, chasing down this Mueller investigation and this bizarre impeachment crusade, I would get fired."

Cummings responded: "Mr. President, I go home to my district daily. Each morning, I wake up, and I go and fight for my neighbors. It is my constitutional duty to conduct oversight of the Executive Branch. But it is my moral duty to fight for my constituents." As I've noted before, it's always laughable when socialist Democrats talk about their "constitutional duty," when each morning they wake up with the singular purpose of violating their oaths "to support and defend" our Constitution.

A few years before the dustup between Trump and Cummings, socialist Bernie Sanders had this to say about Baltimore's inner city: "Anyone who took the walk we took around this [Baltimore] neighborhood [with] hundreds of buildings that are uninhabitable ... would think you were in a Third World country."

Following up his tit-for-tat with Cummings, Trump recounted Sanders's remarks: "Crazy Bernie Sanders recently equated the City of Baltimore to a THIRD WORLD COUNTRY! Based on that statement, I assume that Bernie must now be labeled a Racist, just as a Republican would if he used that term and standard!"

But on a more positive note, Trump added, "The fact is, Baltimore can be brought back, maybe even to new heights of success and glory, but not with King Elijah and that crew. When the leaders of Baltimore want to see the City rise again, I am in a very beautiful oval shaped office waiting for your call!"

Predictably, the leftist reflexive racism outrage machine went into high gear to defend Cummings, with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi waving the race card as well, lecturing, "We all reject racist attacks against [Cummings] and support his steadfast leadership." And the rest of the bunch got the memo: Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen declared, "[Trump] is a racist president," while fake Native American opportunist Sen. Elizabeth Warren shrieked, "Donald Trump, once again, is a racist who makes ever-more outrageous, racist remarks." Bernie Sanders smeared our "racist president who attacks people because they are African-Americans." Former DNC chief and Clintonista Terry McAuliffe labeled Trump "a white supremacist" and a "dyed-in-the-wool, unapologetic racist."

The Leftmedia print outlets piled on: The New York Times opined, "The Rot You Smell is a Racist Potus."

Of course, the Demos' collective cadre of presidential debaters, including Sanders and Warren again, chimed in...

Bernie Sanders: "We have got to take on Trump's racism, his sexism, xenophobia and come together in an unprecedented grassroots movement to not only defeat Trump but to transform our economy and our government." (Stealing a "transformation page" from Barack Obama!) Sanders added that all the nation's problems are the result of "slavery and segregation, and the institutional racism we see now in health care, in education, in financial services."

Elizabeth Warren: "We live in a country now where the president is advancing environmental racism, economic racism, criminal justice racism, health care racism." (Award for labeling every major Demo dog whistle "racism.")

Pete Buttigieg: "Systemic racism has touched every part of American life."

Beto O'Rourke: "Call his racism out for what it is... We have a president who uses fear to try to drive us further apart."

Amy Klobuchar: "I have had it with the racist attacks."

Marianne Williamson: "The racism, the bigotry ... this dark psychic force of the collectivized hatred that this president is bringing up in this country..."

(If you missed the debate, it can be summed up in three seconds.)

And naturally, the "Reverend" Al Sharpton wormed his way into the dispute, accusing Trump of having "a particular venom for blacks and people of color."

When Trump rebutted, "Al Sharpton — now he's a racist," and characterized him as a "con man" who "Hates Whites & Cops," Kamala Harris stepped in to defend Sharpton, who, by the way, is a racist con man who hates white cops. "[Sharpton] has spent his life fighting for what's right and working to improve our nation," Harris claimed, "even in the face of hate. It's shameful, yet unsurprising that Trump would continue to attack those who have done so much for our country."

And not to be outdone in her shameless quest for black votes, Elizabeth Warren added, "[Sharpton] has dedicated his life to the fight for justice for all. ... I stand with my friend Al Sharpton in calling out these ongoing attacks on people of color."

Last but not least, DNC chief Tom Perez offered his praise: "Reverend Sharpton, thank you for your leadership!"

Let all of that load sink in.

This collective leftist hyperbole is a fine example of "The BIG Lie," given that the Democrat political playbook is all about dividing America up by race, creed, ethnicity, income, education, sex, ad nauseum.

For his part, Trump called Cummings what he is: "If racist Elijah Cummings would focus more of his energy on helping the good people of his district, and Baltimore itself, perhaps progress could be made in fixing the mess that he has helped to create over many years of incompetent leadership."

Beltway heads responded by exploding.

Regardless of what you think about Trump's rhetorical style, or lack thereof, and his predisposition to "swap spit with jackasses," he's correct about Cummings and his Baltimore district. In fact, the same can be said for almost every other major urban center run into ruin by Democrats, as our friend Walter E. Williams makes clear in his devastating essay, "Who Benefits From Democratic Control?" (Baltimore has been Democrat-controlled turf since 1967.)

And, contrary to the prevailing Beltway groupthink, it would appear that Trump is the one doing the baiting, forcing Democrats to unite and defend the indefensible, then exposing their hateful and pathetic rants directly to the American people.

All this "racist" rhetoric aside, the biggest problem for Democrats ahead of 2020 is that they might not get the recession they want — which is why they're trotting out all these diversions.

Regarding the latest economic report, The Washington Post begrudgingly admitted that jobs growth "surged past expectations," with the headline unemployment rate at 3.7% and businesses struggling to find workers to fill job openings. And Trump's economic policies have raised wages for 99% of Americans.

This poses a grim economic reality for Demos as they and their Leftmedia minions insist that the economy is "not working for everyone." As The Wall Street Journal reports, "Wages are rising at the fastest rate in a decade for lower-skilled workers, and unemployment among less-educated Americans and minorities is near a record low." Furthermore, "Unemployment has fallen twice as much among blacks as whites since December 2016 ... and minorities account for more than half of all new jobs created during the Trump Presidency."

Consequently, despite all their evasions and obfuscations, Trump's economic job-approval ratings are now over 50%, and voter ratings on the economy are the best in decades.

In 2016, Trump promoted his "New Deal for Black Americans," and he's delivered BIGly! That is what Democrats are desperately denying.

Will Democrats succeed in duping more than 90% of black voters again in 2020? Maybe. But there's a rising tide of independent thinkers — most notably black Americans who've boldly left the plantation. They are represented by two of our grassroots writers, Patrick Hampton and Willie Richardson.

And we in our humble shop stand with them. ESR
