A free world trinity By Michael Moriarty While a provocatively high Vatican official declares that Gaza is beginning to resemble a "concentration camp", Tel Aviv is looking more and more like an abandoned, wartime Warsaw that is admittedly packing atomic bombs. Meanwhile, will the so-called Free-But-Increasingly-Progressive-World's sympathies with the latter-day Nazis of Hamas and Iran force Tel Aviv to use everything they have to defend its civilization and, if the truth be known, that of the entire Western World? If you doubt me, read almost anything by Mark Steyn. Ahmadinejad's goose-stepping Iran, exactly like Hitler's Third Reich, is determined to wipe Israel and eventually all Jews off of the ever-shrinking earth; and little does the "Progressively" Christian world know that Christianity, as a non-Islamic religion, is next! Unless, of course, it joins the rest of the non-Islamic world in surrender, vowing to buy its own Muslim prayer rugs even before the likes of Hamas and the Taliban transform all churches and cathedrals into mosques. The United Nations and, most tragically, the now ubiquitously powerful Progressive government of the United States and its mainstream press, have consistently maintained the position Neville Chamberlain held with Hitler in the 1930's. "We can deal with the likes of Hitler." Yeah, right. President-elect Barack Obama will sit down in a face-to-face with any of the world's "leaders" that wish to. "I can deal with anyone" appears to be the reincarnated version of Chamberlain's presumptions at Munich. Consider how, of all people, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was picked as the "alternative point of view" to Queen Elizabeth in the Christmas time broadcasts of British television. That's "Progressive" England for you. If that's how they feel, why not Kim Jong Il of North Korea? There aren't that many North Korean voters living in England. As I've said, read Mark Steyn. The Progressive America which is about to enter the White House appears, so far at any rate, to be no different. There is not only no Winston Churchill anywhere in the British Commonwealth, there is no spine left in the now, entirely Progressive American government to stop Iran from building atomic bombs. The voice of George W. Bush from the sidelines?! If England, at the very end of World War II, still having to face the Stalinist duplicity of the Soviet Union, could blindly tell Churchill "We no longer have need of you as Prime Minister", just imagine how quickly the Progressive American media will ignore George W. Bush in Texas. Yes, I have this perhaps naïve and romantic faith in Sarah Palin's ability to lead us in the face of America's gravest danger since World War II. Of course, she's obliged to be not only Maggie Thatcher, but, yes, Winston Churchill as well. Greater miracles have happened on earth; and a Palin/Jindal Presidency would be inevitable if things, or rather Progressive America goes down the path of appeasement it seems so determined to tread. India and America are obliged, in the face of revitalized Communist arrogance and Islamic insanity, to join more and more firmly together. As an atomic power, India balances off the atomic threats of an Iranian leadership and Pakistani violence; and as an indisputably greater atomic military power than Vladimir Putin's neo-Soviet Russia, the United States, together with India, can simply checkmate a Soviet/Islamic expansionist policy. Where would Red China sit in all this? Where does it sit? That most definitely depends upon the depth of American and East Indian support for Israel. If we abandon the Jewish cause in the Middle East, China will know that Islam has won the "chicken-run" because the United States and India blinked! China would then join Russia to fully transform the Soviet Islam into an even deeper Red Islam. However, it's rather comforting to know that, in the midst of this worldwide atomic chess game, a mostly Hindu nation might join with Judeo-Christianity to fend-off a Communist/Islamic alliance. I see no alternative other than that for any corner of this Free World Trinity. In light of the Mumbai tragedy and India's recent declaration that someone in the Pakistan government knew of the terrorist plot before it happened and purposely refused to warn India, America must absolutely and unequivocally join with India to condemn Pakistan. Although there were a few Western victims of the Mumbai massacre, most were, as the terrorists intended, Hindis. Pakistan's obsessive jealousy and hatred of India almost compares with Hamas' genocidal aims for Israel. Unfortunately, President Bush so mangled the East Indian/American alliance by trusting the Pakistan government and siding with Pervez Musharraf at the international bargaining tables that profound efforts to repair relations between the U.S. and India are in order. Pakistan has done virtually nothing, in seven years, to help capture Osama bin Laden. Hasn't that told Washington everything about the reliability of Pakistan? As the disastrous possibilities – i. e. World War III – grow more immanent, the necessity to know who American democracy's real friends are becomes the most primary obligation. Under the massive pressures of a possible atomic war, I believe the reality of blazingly clear necessities define those alliances, and the most blatant necessity is an alliance between those nations which Islam has repeatedly targeted as the objects of annihilation. India and Israel are becoming almost twin targets for Islamic jihads. Add 9/11 to Gaza and Mumbai and the obligatory alliance, a free world Trinity of America, Israel and India becomes inevitable. President Bush's gamble of trusting Pakistan was about as ill-considered as his estimate of Vladimir Putin as a "good man". However, President Bush stood his ground in Iraq and I have no doubt that history will begin to revise its point of view toward the Bush Presidency in the same way it came around to admire Truman. Why? When it comes to the inevitable atomic warfare begun by Islamic insanity, you want a Truman or a Churchill or even a Bush as President, not a Neville Chamberlain. Nor even a snake-charming FDR (see The Progressive Snake Charmers). As for the European Union and the British Commonwealth? They had best follow the Trinity's courageous lead. If not, they're in a no man's land where the possibly deepening Red Islam will, as Mark Steyn disturbingly predicts, absorb them! Not the other way around.
